This term, our topic is ‘I am different’. On the 18th 0f February a life education van came to our school and we went in it. The teacher was called Celia and she told us about our personality. Do you know what personality is? Well, it’s about the way we think, act, feel and the things we like to do. She also said that our body needs food, water and oxygen to survive. After a few days, on the 26th we went on the van again. This time she talked about our body. We also learned about our five senses and they are taste, smell, hear, touch and see. All of these senses are body parts. But do you know how your hand gets connected to your brain? Well, there are nerves that send messages to your brain. We also got presents and they were stickers and an activity book. It was really fun learning about this topic!

My Holidays
In the holidays my family went to Whangamata! It took four long hours to get there. We went on a huge car with eight seats, luckily there was eight people! When we got there, we checked out our apartment. It was by a beautiful beach. My favourite place is Hot Water Beach. It's no a normal beach, the waves are gigantic and you can dig out warm water from the smooth sand. We also went to another beach. Me and my brother drew a big whale in the soft sand with a stick. After several days It was nearly the end of our trip. So we went to to Koramandu town. We went there to buy a magnet so we remember this place. We went to lots of other places but those were favourites. It was so fun at Whangamata!

Term 3
Dairy Farming
Our topic in term 3 is about Dairy Farming. We were learning about how grass gets turned into milk. First the cow grazes in the grass (grazing means to chew the grass for hours.) Next the farmer uses a machine to get the milk out of the udder. Then the milk gets transported to a factory which then the people tips into bottles. After that the bottles goes into a truck and gets transported to the shops. Finally someone will buy it and then they can enjoy the milk.
Wow! On my birthday, June the 9th, me, my brother Chris, My friend Jerry, Vincent and Ivy went to Extreme Rock Climbing! When we arrived we saw lots of places to climb on. First someone put safety gear on us. Then we climbed up some walls. My favourite place is Adventure Land. There's a playground in Adventure Land and we played tag on it. It was really fun because you could climb up a wooden toilet and slide an inflatable slide. After a few minutes we went back to climbing. I tried to climb one with ropes on it but it was to hard! My friend Jerry couldn't climb it as well even though he's a good climber! Finally Vincent tried and he was really good. It was a fantastic birthday at Extreme Rock Climbing!
Wakaaranga School Gala Gosh! On Saturday, 1st of November, my mum, my dad, Chris and I went to the Wakaaranga School gala! My mum went early because she was helping the people sell delicious Chinese food. My dad, Chris and I walked to school from our house. When we arrived me and my brother got a cold ice slushy. Chris also got candyfloss. Afterwards we went on a bouncy castle called Mission Impossible. Next we went on a huge slide. We were allowed to slide down it three times. When we were sliding down, my dad recorded us with his phone. After that we went on the water balls. Two people could go in one ball. Me and my brother were in one. When my brother was rolling the ball I was pushing other balls away from us. After five minutes we went off. After a while my mum came. She gave us all a chicken leg and some noodles. My favourite part was the water balls. Finally it was time to go home. This was the best gala ever!
